REST IN PEACE: Missing 17-year-old Woman Dead Body Had Been At Mortuary Since September 27, the day she went missing🕊️💔
The family of 17-year-old Zinhle Thandeka Mfutyana is mourning her tragic death after her mother confirmed that the teenager, who had been reported missing, was found deceased.
Zinhle was last seen on Sunday, 27 September 2026, at around 13:12 near the Spitz store at Maponya Mall in Soweto. Her disappearance prompted a missing-person appeal as her family desperately tried to find her.
However, the search ended in tragedy when her mother contacted Missing Person South Africa on Friday evening, 9 October, to share the devastating news that her daughter had died.
According to her mother, Zinhle was reportedly shot at Bara Taxi Rank on the same day she went missing.
In a further heartbreaking revelation, her mother reportedly received a phone call from a woman working at the Bara mortuary, informing her that Zinhle’s body had been there since 27 September.
The revelation means the teenager’s family had been searching for answers for days while, according to her mother’s report, her body was already at the mortuary.
Zinhle’s death has left her family facing the painful reality of losing a daughter who was only 17 years old.
May Zinhle’s family and loved ones find strength and comfort during this difficult time.
My deepest condolences 💔🕊️

Kwathema Woman Ntombifuthi Rumo Found Alive After R40,000 Ransom Demand
Ntombifuthi Rumo, who disappeared while travelling from KwaThema to Duduza in Ekurhuleni, was found alive on Saturday night after her family received a R40,000 ransom demand.
Rumo reportedly boarded a taxi before unknown men contacted her relatives, claiming to have kidnapped her. The family received distressing videos and a voice note instructing them to deposit money into her account before collecting her with an ambulance.
She is currently hospitalised with severe bruising after allegedly being tortured by her captors.
Community members reportedly helped secure her return, with relatives accusing police of providing little assistance.
KwaThema ward councillor Njabulo Mbonani criticised the police response, while community leaders called for stronger action against kidnappings and gender-based violence.
Police have yet to confirm the circumstances of her release or whether any arrests have been made.

TWO CAUGHT RED HANDED BY THE R21 FREEWAY IN KEMPTON PARK AREA
On Wednesday 07 October 2026 at approximately 10:00 the Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Officers deployed at the O R Tambo international Airport (ORTIA), weremonitoring an electrical sub-station, situated on the R21 freeway, which had been experiencing cable theft.
The first complaint was received in September this year where one (01) suspect was arrested, for tampering with essential infrastructure, theft of cable and possession of stolen cables, by the EMPD ORTIA members. Following that complaint, members of this unit, together with the Airport Company South Africa (ACSA) Security personnel, began monitoring the sub-station using the advanced CCTV camera system.
While monitoring the said sub-station, two (2) African males in their 30's, were spotted crossing the freeway and going to the sub-station.
The suspicious pair scouted the area before they started to dig up the electrical cable, which was in the trench.
EMPD Officers, were mobilized and a tactical takedown was executed.
Both suspects were caught red-handed, before they were handcuffed and taken to the Kempton Park police station where a case docket was opened against them.
They are expected to appear at the relevant Magistrate's Court.

I don’t think there’s any Pirates fan who’s mad at the team for losing against Marabastad. Yeah, we may be sad that we lost the final, or as some people called it, “the pre-season cup.” 😭😂
But one thing is for sure, we’re proud of what the boys did. Yesterday’s game proved that you should never change a winning team. Masilela should’ve been trusted & given a starting berth because that boy had a really good game, even when some of the senior players didn’t show up.
Credit must also go to Nkosinathi Sibisi, Lebone Seema & Sipho Chaine. The gents really showed up yesterday & fought for the badge! 👏🏴☠️
Other than that, we move. Heads up, chest out, & focus on the next game against TS Galaxy in the league.
