Thanks to the help of the Crow Wing SWCD, the Whiskey Creek project which transformed 13 acres near Baxter, MN into a thriving regional stormwater wetland complex is now complete!

Congratulations to this year’s MASWCD Leadership Institute cohort! A partnership with the University of Minnesota Extension, local SWCD staff and board members from across the state gathered to strengthen their leadership capacity for conservation work in Minnesota.

Forests are a powerful tool for protecting water. In Pine County, foresters with the local SWCD are expanding forest stewardship in the Snake River Watershed to improve water quality. By implementing forest management practices, water quality will improve!
