@koebergalert It is either you seriously do not understand the meaning of the terms intermittent and variable or you are deliberately misrepresenting them to make your point. Argue your point without butchering the terms. At least I hope you know that nuclear is dispatchable and RE is not.
Three Myths that nearly collapsed the South African Power System:
MYTH 1: @Eskom coal plants are old and unfixable
MYTH 2: Only cheap and quick renewables will fix loadshedding
MYTH 3: Europe is a Holy Grail for Energy Policy

@koebergalert If knives can be used to murder people, do you then argue there must be no 'civil' use of knives at the dinner table or in a butchery? Improve the quality of your criticism, please.
@koebergalert And you chose to select the years Koeberg was being upgraded and redone for a further 20 yrs (LTO). If you are going to argue against nuclear, do a much better job than this. This is very pedestrian, shame.
@daddyhope The amount of generation is reflective of the energy source (coal). Gauteng is the most populous province but has virtually no generation. Comparing SA generation capacity in proportion to the population is OK, but not doing it at the provincial level.
@daddyhope You may be right to comment on the inadequate power in Zim, but do not proportionalize it to the provinces population. Power generated in Limpopo is for the National grid and nit for the province. It like saying Mat North generates so much power and the population is X.
@koebergalert What IAEA recommendations? Remember the IAEA is not a regulator. NNR is. Are you saying KPP ignores regulatory directives by the NNR? This is a serious allegation and you better have proof of this. What is your answer to the electricity requirements in the country then?
@koebergalert I guess you believe it is your place to tell South Africans to not support Koeberg extension. The people of South Africa do not need me to tell them about nuclear. It is only you I am telling to get used to the idea of new nuclear coming and Koeberg life extension.
