#TBT to Northmead Fire Station receiving a brand-new station in 1973.

First established in 1924, Northmead would serve for 87 years, before ceasing to exist 2011 as it amalgamated with Baulkham Hills Fire Station.

50 years ago, Leura Fire Brigade moved into their current station! 🚒

Leura Fire Brigade have been around since 1917 and have had 2 previous fire stations before their current residence.

The Museum has received a little facelift! 🚒

Our sign on top of our building suffered hail damage resulting in the letters, particularly the two “U”’s falling apart.

Now all the letters are brand new for all those who may see our building along the railway line. 🚂
