My first game is officially on Steam, Dusk Runners is a top-down roguelike zombie arena shooter, survive rooms, grab loot, and try not to get turned into floor seasoning.

@i2_Games@unitygames@DuskRunners Not a bullet heaven, more like dead ops arcade but with more mechanics, aiming, reloading, weapon drops, weapon mastery. I do love me a bullet heaven tho
Whatever you’re working on, no matter how difficult it feels, keep going. Keep learning, keep improving, and don’t lose sight of why you started. Even when the world feels heavy or progress feels slow, every step you take is still building something in you. Stay encouraged - it’s all shaping you for your own growth and benefit.

On paper, the player gets a weapon, earns passives through XP, spends money on specific upgrades (fire rate, reload speed) then a trader npc for character upgrades (movement speed, armor) this is step one done #gamedev
Update - Changing the XP system to a weapon type passive XP system. The more kills the player gets the better they will do with that weapon type. I want to also add a weapon upgrade bench where you can upgrade the weapon instance of a specific weapon too. #gamedev#roguelike
Currently changing up the XP system to a weapon type passive system. It cuts out the pause screens in combat and gives a small UI notification that the type has been leveled up. I like it more already. Video coming soon with the prototype #gamedev
