Sources said Elton Brand will not return as 76ers GM and is currently working through a new role with the franchise and its parent company, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment. Brand, well-respected throughout the 76ers’ organization, elected not to interview for the President role after the team parted with Daryl Morey and has been fully supporting the team’s ongoing Draft prep.

@mets202223@RBPhillyTake I’m gonna assume (hope for ur sake) that you’re smart enough to realize that blowing a lead vs. letting the other team hit some shots to get back in the game is the same shit. Wemby handed the Knicks a gift. It’s ok to acknowledge this fact and still be happy u won the game.
@DionWeighters@RyanMorris4368 That’s the biggest problem with the game, it takes stats purely at face value. Wizards Russ is one of the best pulls in the game somehow
@Randal_Tweets@SpikeEskin Jonathan Isaac doesn’t play basketball. If you’re going to use a roster minimum on a vet, at least get someone who’s going to be healthy throughout the course of the season. I think you would agree that 70 mediocre games of Jabari Walker is better than 25 games of a healthy Isaac
@Randal_Tweets@SpikeEskin Why do the minimum contracts have to be washed vets who we hope can have a miraculous career revival? Instead why not take chances on dudes with potential/traits and hopefully acquire some depth pieces that we can build with moving forward? Focus on the Maxey/VJ timeline.
@Randal_Tweets@SpikeEskin This is total BS. Look at the Thunder for example. Much of their depth wasn’t lottery picks but the Thunder took a chance on potential and it’s paid dividends. Why can’t the Sixers do the same? Hate to be the bearer of bad news but the Sixers aren’t winning the chip next season
@phillyroaster@SpikeEskin And what about watching this current iteration of the Sixers shows any sort of championship potential? The east will only be stronger and Embiid + George are only getting older. Building for the future should be the main priority, not Embiid’s timeline.
@phillyroaster@SpikeEskin But why do these minimum contract players have to be older vets with injury history? Sixers fans love to complain about giving up on Joe or Champagnie in favor of lower-ceiling vets, so why don’t they we to write our wrongs and take chances on young unproven talent with upside?
