Effective 1:30 p.m. Jan. 23, 2025, conditions have improved and the previous IMPASSABLE TRAVEL ADVISORY for Mobile County roads and bridges has been lifted. Because county officials cannot guarantee the conditions everywhere, drivers are reminded to use caution while traveling.
UPDATE: Jan. 22
Most roads remain icy throughout South Alabama. Motorists are urged to stay off the roads if possible. If travel is unavoidable, check ALGO Traffic for updates. Reduce speed, avoid sudden braking, and drive in the lane that has been visibly cleared.
⚠️⚠️Advisory still in effect‼️ Please stay off the roads unless travel is unavoidable. Public Works crews are assessing the status of County roads/bridges + working on improving conditions for faster recovery when sustained temperatures rise above freezing.⚠️⚠️
