@zachk In the 90s, the only trips to China were thru business visa or a pre-arranged tour. The 2000s / 2010s were golden days for exploration: some RMB in your pocket + Chinese cue cards, you visit anywhere. Now, visitors are totally reliant on friendly locals to buy or book. Bummer.
