A summary of how the attacker gained control of the Mobius DAO, what they do (and don’t) have control over, and what your options are as a liquidity provider.
First and foremost, existing deposits in liquidity pools still appear to be safe ✅

As a reminder, existing pool deposits appear to be safe. The attacker stands to make money off ongoing swap fees and controls the MOBI treasury, but not liquidity providers’ funds.

The attacker also set the Mento 1:1 cUSD/USDC pool’s withdrawal fee to 1%, and would benefit from CGP79 passing, which would refill this pool with 10M of USDC.
Given this, we strongly encourage the Celo community to vote against this proposal, ending Fri, 12/23 at 6:18am UTC
The Mobius team has been notified of suspicious activity and has temporarily halted deposits via the UI pending further investigations; existing deposits in liquidity pools appear to be safe. Updates are forthcoming.
5/
It's important to note that the withdrawal fee is hardcoded to 0% on all other pools and therefore withdrawals on non-Mento pools should not be affected.
We will continue to investigate and provide updates here.
