MAIN POST PARTNERS SELLS KUIU TO INVESTOR GROUP INCLUDING COX ENTERPRISES

KUIU, a DTC performance hunting gear and apparel brand founded in 2011 has been acquired by an investor group of conservation-driven businesses and families including Cox Enterprises.

In 2017, Main Post Partners, a SF based consumer PE fund acquired 23% of KUIU for $50M, valuing the company at $217M, or ~5x its 2016 sales.

"The team, led by CEO Melissa Woolf, has done exceptional work growing the business nearly 10x over the last 7+ years, and the company continues to have significant growth ahead as it develops into a globally recognized brand," said Josh McDowell, Partner at Main Post Partners.

Data from Particl suggests that KUIU's online sales are around $264m YTD.
