Went to watch this on the weekend at Vasant Kunj, Delhi, and PVR inevitably did disappoint:
it played without subtitles for a good 20 minutes, then restarted after persistent protests from the audience — after which, it continued with fucked up projection and subtitles cut off!
Very pissed @_PVRCinemas. I went all the way to Logix mall, Noida to see the Cannes restored print of #AranyerDinRatri and the film had no subtitles. Why can’t all non-Hindi films playing in the north have subtitles? Money, time wasted!! @FHF_Official@shividungarpur@abhiran5
I have been desperately asking @help_delhivery to DELIVER my shipment, which was picked up over 7 days ago. After radio silence for 4 days, now they are talking about RETURNING the shipment?
I just need you to do your actual job and deliver it!
Hi, we regret for the inconvenience caused and understand your concern regarding the shipment. Please be assured that we have escalated the matter to our delivery team for immediate attention. The shipment return has been prioritized, and our team is working to ensure it is completed at the earliest possible.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
It has now been over 7 days since my order was picked up. No delivery date in sight, no update from @help_delhivery.
I just realised, maybe this is why they charge you extra for ‘Insurance’ — because they don’t ever intend to actually deliver your package.
@delhivery service is an absolute joke.
I paid extra for ‘Express’ delivery which was promised within 4 days, and after pick up, showed an estimated delivery date for 7 days later. Now on the delivery date, it’s asking for 3 more days.
10 days to deliver something bw two metros?
Wow, oh my god. So it’s just just me.
People are waiting on their packages from a month ago. @help_delhivery, I’m fucking freaking out now — will you ever deliver my package?
Hey @delhivery@delhiveryhelp, is this how you handle premium shipments? Paid ₹600 to ship consumables from Pune to Hyd on 25th April.
❌ Package went missing for 1 week
❌ Sent back & forth between Pune-Hyd 5 TIMES
❌ Assured delivery today, but marked RTO without any delivery attempt!
Consumables are ruined after 26 days of your absolute negligence. App support won’t help, tickets are ignored, and your team clearly doesn't care about customer experience.
Cancel the RTO, deliver my package immediately, and refund my booking & damage costs!

Apparently the worst delivery service in India with a non-existent customer service team and no helpline for customers to follow up on their orders… has been awarded by the government. Congrats @help_delhivery, now can you please get back to me about my Express Delivery order?
@delhivery service is an absolute joke.

You should do us all a favour and just shut down if you cannot handle logistics and operations, @delhivery. You don’t even have a helpline number one can call. Non existent customer service, you’re just extorting money from people by this point. Have some shame.

Gorgeous, gorgeous film about being young, in love, and a creative professional in this country, but also about Delhi, about being a migrant in this soulless city, and so much more. 🤍
Meet director Sanju Surendran, director of the New Directors/New Films (#NDNF55) selection IF ON A WINTER'S NIGHT.
The film makes its North American premiere on Tuesday, April 14 at @filmlinc and Wednesday, April 15 at @momafilm! 🎟️: https://t.co/5BFFVIqbbL
And I don’t even think indie films need to be any ‘good’ or award-winning to be in theatres, because we all know that the big-budget, star-studded Bollywood blockbusters taking up all the screens aren’t any good either.
We just want to enjoy ourselves at the cinema again, man.
It’s more the fact that, for indie filmmakers to be able to show their wonderful, award-winning indie films in cinemas across India, they need PVR INOX to introduce such ‘seeding’ initiatives — are you telling me that isn’t incredibly depressing?
“By seeding such initiatives, we are sort of whetting the appetite of the customers” — PVR.
Bitch. You aren’t whetting any appetites by giving indie films 5 screens across metro cities in the country, at 10am or 10pm, between 16 shows of DHURANDHAR.
“Great filmmakers tend to tell the same story in different ways and weak ones find different ways to say little. Aditya Dhar, who is neither, presents a unique reality of telling all stories in the same way.”
Can you tell I’m back on TwiXX after 3 months, catching up on reading?
“I cannot help but come to the obvious conclusion that for all its peacocking and bloodshed, its puffed chest and limp morality, Dhurandhar, ultimately, hates India, revelling in its unravelling.”
Essential reading if you like cinema/DHURANDHAR/India, I guess.
I mean, what I wouldn’t give to be able to support IT WAS JUST AN ACCIDENT in Indian cinemas — and these films are urgent viewing for Indian audiences.
What I also wouldn’t give to see BORDER 2-paglu audiences show up for IT WAS JUST AN ACCIDENT and NO OTHER CHOICE…
Looking at that one person coming out of the woodworks right on cue with the call to release NO OTHER CHOICE et al in India… I’m sure our favourite distributors, PVR Pictures, will do so during Oscars week and we will get 1 show in 4 metro cities at 10pm or 10am.
A film like THE BONE TEMPLE lasted a week in Delhi cinemas, a couple of shows in ICE + 2D. THE CHRONOLOGY OF WATER apparently had theatrical distribution, 10am shows in metros.
