The past few days I have been reminding myself what I love about vtubing and reflecting on why I wanted to start it in the first place:

1.) The creativity - Vtubing has introduced me to a whole new way to express my creativity that I never thought I could. This is in my own art, my writing/lore building skills, stream ideas, video editing, and more.

2.) Creating content - I had always wanted to try streaming or being a YouTuber but never knew where to start. Vtubing felt like the perfect mix of everything I loved combined into one format and I finally took the step to do it.

3.) Learning new skills - I understand (some of) the tech side more, I learned video editing, comedic timing, learned programs like vtube studio, warudo, VR, OBS, Davinci, and more.

4.) It introduced me to like minded people - it's very inspiring seeing so many creators in this space and what they do. There are a ton of creative minds out there and it's always exciting to see what they do with their content.

5.) Made new friends - I have met so many wonderful people thanks to vtubing, some who I have met in person, others who I have hung out with online and every one of them has been amazing.

6.) Building a community - Never had I considered how much a difference my community would make on me every day when I started streaming. Getting to interact with them and see them on the days I stream is one of the biggest highlights. They always bring a smile to my face whenever I am feeling down and make the whole thing worth it. I am so grateful for my Lunetics every day.

7.) I got to strengthen current friendships - I was lucky enough to have friends I have known for years also be interested in vtubing and we have grown even closer over the past few years due to our shared interests and experiences in streaming together. I also got to see some other irl friends start and thrive in their streaming journies as well and it is so cool seeing them shine.

I think it's easy to lose sight of what makes this niche so special and unique, especially when you're passionate about it and just want to have fun and do well but you constantly second guess yourself or overthink. But that's why I have been trying to remind myself why I love it so much.
