Business Centre @BCC_mv’s GM Mariyam Shairau (on right) has suspended Mohamed Klaleel for making a political post on social media.

It says someone reported it to BCC and they’re suspending him for 14 days to investigate it.

By this logic, if someone makes a report about a staff every 26 days, that staff would be under suspension for the whole year.

Even funnier is, it’s a member of the society who was concerned about the reputation of BCC and reported it.

It looks like someone wants his job (Manager, Ga. Viligili) and made a fake report about him so he gets terminated.

Just so you know, expressing views is a constitutional right.

If BCC’s policy says staff can’t express views on social media or anywhere, that clause will be invalid. Cause constitution is superior.

I urge the staff to report this to HRCM and Labour Relations Authority as soon as possible.
