50 km Bluetooth? An RF engineer is trying to make it happen.

RFOXiA is pushing Bluetooth Low Energy far beyond its usual range using an STM32WB07, an RF power amplifier, a low-noise amplifier and a high-gain antenna.

The trick is Bluetooth LE Coded PHY (S=8), which trades speed for better range and signal robustness, delivering 125 kbps.

They have demonstrated a 4.6 km ground-to-ground link. Their 20+ km ground-to-air and 50+ km air-to-air targets are still goals, not proven results.

Think long-range sensor networks, robotics, and remote control without cellular infrastructure.

Read the breakdown: https://t.co/3dRg5UR4DD

Would you try pushing Bluetooth this far in your next embedded project?

The PS5's current firmware 14.10 has been jailbroken by Gezine the same that GTA VI will be playabe

He has shown kernel-level access on 14.10, but he is not releasing the exploit right now, the older method for accessing game executables reportedly doesn’t work on newer 14.xx firmware.

The guy also said that he doesnt care about GTA or any game

Overdrive PS5 is back after disappearing from GitHub just one day after its release.

The project originally appeared as a homebrew storefront for jailbroken PS5 consoles. It quickly went viral because it offered a large catalog of pirated games through a simple PlayStation Store-style interface.

Then, shortly after launch, the original GitHub repository suddenly disappeared.

Now Overdrive has returned with a new official repository, along with additional features and a catalog listing more than 1,600 games.

The exact reason for the original GitHub removal has not been officially confirmed, so claims about a specific SONY legal takedown could be fake

PS5 JUST GOT AI.

PS5LM Plus runs llama.cpp directly on the PS5's GPU, turning a jailbroken PS5 into a local AI machine.

• Qwen 3.8 27B at 20+ tok/s
• Gemma 4 E4B at 61 tok/s
• Llama 3.2 3B at 124 tok/s
• GGUF model support
• Built-in model library
• Download models from Hugging Face
• Chat from your phone or PC
• OpenAI-compatible API

Why is this useful?

You can run AI locally on the PS5 and access it from other devices on your network, without sending every request to a cloud AI service.

It can even power coding tools like Codex, Claude Code and OpenCode.

A PS5 running local AI at these speeds is seriously wild.

Would you use your PS5 as a local AI server?

PS4 games will be available for one-click download and automatic installation on your PS5 console in the next update.

[Pirat_Nation 🔴 @Pirat_Nation]

This is crazy, a jailbroken PS5 can now play original PS2 game discs directly, without needing to copy the games to digital files first.

Modders have found a way to use the PS5’s disc drive to read original PS2 DVDs and run the games through an emulator.

But they’re not stopping there. Modders are also working on getting original PS3 discs to work on the PS5

So Sony could have made this possible years ago, but they never did, they preferred to keep charging users for useless remakes.

[Techjunkie Aman @Techjunkie_Aman]

PS5 games are coming to Windows without traditional emulation.

PortPS5 converts decrypted PS5 game dumps into native Windows executables.

• No CPU emulation
• PS5 x86-64 code runs directly on the host CPU
• ELF → Windows PE relinking
• PS5 system libraries replaced
• PS5 graphics translated to Vulkan
• Vulkan 1.3 support
• Windows 10/11 support
• DualSense, XInput and keyboard/mouse support
• Generic approach instead of game-specific hacks
• Built with C++23

Current 1.0 targets include Demon's Souls, Bugsnax, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, TMNT: Shredder's Revenge and Dreaming Sarah.

Could this become a real way to play PS5 games on PC?
