Can someone help me?
What does it actually mean to be a "semi-professional" or "amateur" football club in Italy?
Are all Serie C players full time (ie they don't have other jobs) and all Serie D players part time (ie they are paid to play football but need to have another job)?
@CCalcistica The main splits are at level 5 and level 11. Level 5 starts what we call "non-league" but clubs can be full time if they want and some get very big crowds. Level 11 starts "county amateur" and clubs at that level usually don't charge for admission, don't have floodlights, etc...
@CCalcistica In England semi-professional means they get paid for playing football but will have another job. There's no real official split in the leagues between professional / semi-professional / amateur.
