Congratulations to Kameirah Johnson on winning this year’s Google Doodle contest. Just a beautiful piece of art. I hope her artistic career goes very, very far. This is the kind of talent we need to see and support. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
My grandma was a teacher and if my school didn’t give me any take home packets (or she felt like it wasn’t enough lol) she made sure I stayed sharp, gave me work packets a couple days a week. Little math sheets, reading comprehension assignments and art projects!
thank you, as you are more than just blush! respect artist and their craft. we work hard to perfect our baby. years, years we spend refining and building for people to try and reduce us to just a “trend” or nothing just for people to take and try and reclaim.
Before this gif goes outta control like many gifs from my stuff, w everyone saying "what movie is this from???"-
I'd like to say that this is from I Love Boosters-
which is in theaters now but many don't know about it and I need u to get to theaters now to see it with friends.
In August, there will be an exhibit of stuff related to my work at the new free art university and museum in SF, Art + Water. Shirley Kurata's costumes for I Love Boosters will be a part of it.
