@fredgreco Hello. Our Church is currently without a TE or stated supply. We do have visiting PCA TEs. The session has interviewed and approved a non-communicant member to partake in the Lord’s supper. Is it permissible for a RE to officiate the BCO 57.5 vows within the service?

Move the “OT Text” to the Letter to be interpreted (below box) and replace with “Historical/Literal” and the other 3 corners with Allegorical (Theological), Anagogical (Fulfillment), and Tropological (Application) you basically have a Reformed Quadraga -> and the one Full Sense.

@fredgreco I was hoping you could answer a question. In Almquist’s commentary on page 163-4 it seems to read that if a member of the PCA propperly charges another member in their respective court, the court should go directly into process without an investigation. Is that right?

Paul might respond to those who are contentious about this with “We have no other practices in the Church”. Woman are not in a place of authority in the church, and it is shameful and contentious to say otherwise.

Hello. In one or CAC’s videos there was a clarification about Rome’s tradition of them Bishop’s authority over the Eucharist. I think Ignatius was used in the example in one of his letters to a church when he was about to be martyred. What video was that? Thx

@thisisfoster I don’t agree with a shadow session of woman. In the PCA the place for this type of Women helping Women could be a deacons assistant. Not sure the circumstance and why this session wants this help - I get the suspicion.

That said, how would you form a complaint?

@pastormbowman Members have to learn to use the BCO. Form complaints. They will make it to the SJC if one follows the process. The men on the SJC will follow the PCA standards.

@RetiredOpinions @pastormbowman Form Complaints. When Sessions and Presbyteries do not align with our standards the SJC will act. The SJC has men who are committed to the PCA standards.

@PastorAndyWebb Coffin’s polity is not aligned with the PCA. He is more akin to an episcopal in regards to church arthritis. For him a TE is more like a bishop, above the courts. To see an example of his thinking, see his lone decent and minority report to the final decision of SJC 2023-20.
