My JOB is mostly legal compliance, and I have been accused of "inserting myself" in the issue for... suggesting legal compliance. And NOW I'm getting pushed out for... doing my job.

@freelancelawmom I was turned down once for a job because my resume had one typo.

On the flip side, people spell my name wrong, and address me as "Ms." even though my pronouns are in my signature, and I'm never weird about it, because it's such a normal mistake.

This job is going to kill me. How can I put in so much research work, give a legal analysis on something, and have my boss gloss over it and then tell someone else that they did a good job.

I mean hey, if you feel like violating federal law just because you don't like me...

UPDATE! After a week hearing nothing from my boss, he now says he’s diving back into the law on this subject to “reignite discussion” whatever that means.

Boss: I don’t like this, I don’t agree with any of it, and I’m going to argue with you about it.
Me: okay.

If he didn’t want a lawyer to tell him about the law idk why he hired me.

I need to stop doing legal work for non-lawyers. I'm so tired of putting my all into a 60 page paper and only a getting questions that tell me my paper was skimmed, at best.
