Italy keeping their spirits up! Emotional watching this 💜 DJ in Sicily giving the people a Saturday night distraction party. Bravo to that man... #coronavirus#Italy
‘Teaching students how to study is just as important as teaching them the content’ (Dunlosky, 2013)
Here is what our ‘Developing independent learners’ tutor time curriculum looks like 💭 🧠
It brings me great pleasure to report that BEVERLY HILLS COP: AXEL F ain't no banana in the tailpipe. It's the real deal and a hilarious nostalgia trip.

To Catch a Copper on channel 4 was a hard watch. The things those police did to that woman and didn't get charged for it is disgusting. Felt physically sick watching that.
@EllaKennedyx Learning, music, dancing, meditating, laughs - we had it all 🌸 And you came in to see me on my last day when supposed to be home 🥺 I hope you're living your best life wee one and still playing music 🎹🎶
After 3 years and 3 weeks, I was back in my old classroom today at Porty. Amazing seeing my friends for lunch and kids that remembered me 🥺
I took this photo and have only just spotted the purple chair I took from old Porty 💜 Looking forward to popping in more often..🌈
Old Porty 🥰 To be tagged and see my classroom on a post stopped me in my tracks. Kids from over a decade ago sharing memories of the room that I loved SO much too, has made my day. It was a safe space for us all ❤️ (Safe until the lift button was pressed a dozen times..😐😂🤐)
One of the best parts about this job?
Watching a pupil do something for the first time…
Week 1 - “I can’t swim”
Week 4 - full widths of the pool unaided
The joy on someone’s face when they achieve something they never thought they could!! 😀😃😄😁😆

Ever since a child told me they dreaded the holidays as they had nothing to do a few years ago, I’ve made sure to make a holiday activity pack for each child in my class ever since. Sometimes, a small thing can make a big difference ✨
@StephenKelly71 @Henry_Hepburn As my guidance teacher in the 90s, you were definitely all of this, Mr Kelly!
What a fantastic read and agree with it all. A shame to lose a school leader like you. But hopefully now in a position to make sure these are the leaders we have moving forward..🌟
@mrsmaryhand@PortobelloHigh Claire told me earlier! Good luck in your new role, they are most definitely lucky to have you ❤️ What a loss for the school. The kids will miss you a LOT 🌈
@PortobelloHigh What an exciting time for the school 🌟 It really does have the best community. Not a day goes by that I don't reminisce on my teaching days there 🥰
Good luck in your new role...🌟
Love candid snaps ❤️
I'm 99% sure they've just said, "Nah, why are we taking the photo on your iPhone 5." 😭😭 I'm biting back telling them it's an 8 and it takes gid photos!! Ms Nisbet's not having it..🤣☎️📸
No greater honour than a family inviting you to their daughter's 21st. A kid you taught from age 11 and my right hand in everything. Fab catch up with Porty kids and parents too 🌟
Carly was the class of 2020, we didn't get a prom class photo. We got one last night..❤️🥺🥰
My absolute favourite 💚🖤💚🖤🎶
Mrs Banks and I used to LOVE this through our speakers and having a wee singsong together. She was always the goodie 😇😅 Porty is never far from my thoughts. (It helps that I bump into former kids and parents most days..🥰🖤) @gemmabanks85
