Well, here we are! Season 1, Episode 1 features a $57 mono-red prowess deck with the Flame of Keld (and without Faithless Looting). Come listen to our take on #MTGModern on a budget. But be kind, since it's our first time recording and editing!

Great profile of (one time podcast cohost and Worlds competitor) Drew Baker (@buddhistborn) by @MegTheWolff! I know I speak for my other cohost in saying we taught him everything he knows.*
Looking forward to Magic 30 in a couple weeks!

Is there a discord or some over venue to coordinate Magic 30 Vegas shenanigans? I need a group for my Fallen Empires Cube! @SaffronOlive@MegTheWolff @ ???
(The first part is serious. The second part… only kinda serious!)
@SaffronOlive It feels like the city’s blessing. You can’t interact with it, but it doesn’t have any effect except through things you can interact with.
I miss is being able to check my Planeswalker Points for the season within the state. It was fun to set a goal of being a top 100, top 50 Magic Player in Idaho. Whatever OP looks like in the future, I hope there's room for small-scale competitive goals, not just pro or bust. #mtg
Hey @LSV and @Marshall_LR. After listening to your 'cast with @17lands, I was reminded of a paper by Emily Oster on measuring the effectiveness of Vitamin E.
Between 1994 and 2004, Vitamin E was associated with a 25% drop in mortality. Pre 1994 and after 2004, a 10% decrease.
The same thing might be at work with 17 lands data. In a vacuum, card X might be a +1% card. But if a podcast with an above-average audience endorses a card, 17 Lands might show a +3%, because players who do other things right are now more likely to draft the card.
