Selma Police Officer Gonzalo Carrasco Jr was senselessly murdered while serving and protecting his community. Officer Carrasco Jr. was only 24 years old. The murderer was taken into custody.

Michael’s right leg is still a matter of concern and doctors will continue to monitor and evaluate the viability of his leg. The Rokaitis family has requested we share with our community just how enormously grateful they are for the love and support from everyone.

Officer Michael Rokaitis remains hospitalized and in critical, but stable condition. Michael underwent surgery yesterday afternoon to repair injuries to his abdomen. Doctors felt the surgery was successful.
