The most expensive part of a hospital bill may never touch the hospital at all.
A patient admitted for care has no way of knowing whether the price on a medical consumable reflects its actual cost or a markup fixed long before it ever reached the ward. That gap in information is, at its core, a public health issue.
A survey of hospital consumables in Maharashtra found an IV infusion set with a trade price of ₹11.05 carrying a printed MRP of ₹325 ; a markup of 2,841%. A syringe procured at ₹6.75 carried an MRP of ₹57.20. A catheter procured at ₹29.41 carried an MRP of ₹310.
These are not elective purchases. Patients cannot compare prices, seek alternatives, or question a number printed on a box while receiving care and the MRP itself is often fixed upstream by manufacturers and distributors, disconnected from the trade price by a wide, unexplained margin. The result is a system where the party bearing the cost has the least information to evaluate it.
The regulatory gap is structural: scheduled medicines are capped under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013. Most medical devices and consumables are not leaving both the pricing and the information around it almost entirely unmonitored.
A review of these findings and clear guidelines on the permissible gap between trade procurement price and declared MRP have been recommended to the Department of Pharmaceuticals and the NPPA ; a step toward closing not just a pricing gap, but the information gap patients are left to bear alone.

1. She shouted at least three times at the Indian Army ‐ "We are Gen Z". Since when has being Gen Z been a license to do anything?
2. She said to the soldiers - "You all are getting salaries from our taxes... You think you are above us now?" Well, paying taxes does not put anyone above the rules. Soldiers don’t take pleasure in enforcing restrictions. If they are standing there, they are doing it for strong reasons and for your safety.
3. She said twice - "We are tourists". So? If you are a tourist, you have to follow the rules and regulations of that particular area. Whether you go to Kashmir or anywhere else, you are expected to respect the local laws, security requirements, and instructions of the authorities.
Freedom does not mean freedom from rules.
@AUCustService Your DM has some glitch I guess. It is not supported.
The guy is still contacting the people and demanding the money for account opening.
Fraud alert: Ex-AU bank employee Rahul Jadhav (Nigadi, Pune) is still posing as a sales rep. Took ₹500 from last week for current account fees/paperwork. He left the job a month ago confirmed by bank. Now ignoring calls. @aubankindia please act.

General Category salaried employees should be exempted from income tax. If the government cannot be fair in taxation, it should at least be honest about discrimination. You can’t demand equal taxes while offering unequal benefits.

ISRO Budget 2014 : $1.1 Billion
SC/ST Budget 2014: $11.65 Billion
ISRO Budget 2026 : $1.4 Billion
SC/ST Budget 2026 : $35.9 Billion
In the last 12 years, the SC/ST budget has grown far more than ISRO budget.
Nothing matters more than vote bank politics & appeasement.

भारत ने बांग्लादेश को विकास के लिए 10 मिलियन डॉलर देने का वादा किया है
हम वहां पर हिंदुओं पर हो रहे अत्याचार को रोकने के लिए क्या कर रहे हैं..!

Government of India needs to speak up on the violence in Bangladesh where Hindu minorities were particularly targeted, lynched and attacked in several places.
While above 5 crore illegal Bangladeshi & Rohingyas are living in India due to votebank politics, this is the situation of minority Hindus in Bangladesh
Throw all illegal Bangladeshis & Rohingyas from India, create a new country for Bangladeshi Hindus or give them citizenship. https://t.co/NYBrXZTMVH

IndiGo fiasco is the cost of this Govt’s monopoly model.
Once again, it’s ordinary Indians who pay the price - in delays, cancellations and helplessness.
India deserves fair competition in every sector, not match-fixing monopolies.
