I don't think you're the asshole, but I do think if someone borrows something it is best to clearly define the boundaries of that loan. And this especially applies to people with ADHD.

I feel your pain. I'm a former liberal from a very liberal state. I've been cut off from almost all my family and friends. It is an excruciating pain to be so reviled by those who you believed knew your character.
