I love straps. Versa Gripps have been my favorite for years.
But when I started this cut, I intentionally stripped away anything I felt like I was becoming dependent on.
That meant pump products, L-carnitine, straps...pretty much everything except the basics.
So far, grip hasn't been the limiting factor in my training. Instead, my forearms and grip strength have noticeably improved.
The reality is that dedicated grip training is usually one of the first things to disappear when life gets busy. Taking the straps away solved that problem automatically.
I'll bring the straps back during my growth phase, when moving the most weight matters more. For now, I'm enjoying forcing my grip to catch up.
Anyone else cycle straps like this, or do you use them year-round?
@Johngriffin805 Cardio days, rest days, even just sitting at your desk is a great time to do grip training.
I feel similar about core, less so calves, but overall I don’t see any issue with how you have that
Still beating 90% of us doing all those exercises in a dedicated time at all
@BalaamAndDonkey This is a good point I hadn't considered- I don't do a ton of dangerous compound lifts that I would use them on.. but good to keep in mind
@FowardAssist There certainly is benefit to adding and subtracting factors by the workout rather than just on/off for an extended period of time
I have a hard time going in not fully optimized, but its good practice to mix those in
I bet you've got some juicy forearms
And based on the goals you've described in the past, that is probably more important to you than getting bigger anyways
I would suggest trying them sometime- just because you might be shocked at how much you can actually lift, even if it's just for fun
I say this in direct contradiction to my message- but since I've experienced both I feel somewhat dialed into what it feels like with and without
Whenever I talk with someone who took steroids not that many years ago, the story is always similar. They got a mysteriously sourced vial or collection of pills from Ricky at golds gym who recommended they take 4 a day for 2 months. Many people got messed up it seems. Even the best advice available from people with real experience wasn’t great
We’ve entered a golden age of information coupled with and easier and more reliable access to the compounds.
Dad’s up big time.
Getting jacked is literally my job.
I mean, I don't get paid for it. And nobody told me to do it... and it actually costs me a lot of money
But aside from those minor details it is literally my job.
@Akxyl_ Ah- just to be clear, this was from when I was bulking. Deep into the cut now, should be finished soon. 40 pounds gone, but most of them were the right pounds.
But no can't stop won't stop
