@TyTalksTechblog @Happybrush3 @darrengrimes That maybe the figures for manufacturing, but EVs make that 5 tons back and more over their lifetime, plenty of data on that.
Then there's the other pollution that ICE cars produce that damage our health.
@TyTalksTechblog @Happybrush3 @darrengrimes The fact you need coal and oil to start making internal combustion engines cars, then you burn even more oil making them move.
@TyTalksTechblog @Happybrush3 @darrengrimes All battery's (alkaline, zinc, lead...) have contents that require some kind of mining/processing. Everything we make does.
EV's are better not perfect.
@ClimateRealists "The vehicle was involved in an accident 3 weeks ago, sustained major damage"
I hear that sometimes petrol tanks ignite after sustaining major damage.
@sophielouisecc And that's what you want isn't it?
You love the division, it's the only thing Brexit delivered.
By the way why didn't you say wokey elitist remainers?
@TheKraken72@GrahamMackenz18@_veryunlikely@sophielouisecc So even if we were still a member of the EU, the UK regulator would have been able to take this decision on its own because EU law already allows it. Incidentally, that legislation took effect in the UK in 2012, long before Brexit was on the cards.
