@General_Somto Kenneth Okonkwo’s endless criticism of Peter Obi reveals his poor upbringing.
In 2014, he battled his own biological blood brother, George Okonkwo, for the same political slot in Enugu North.
Family first? Clearly not for him.
Some people never change.
Good news that Keir Starmer resigned. I disliked him much because of his soft hand on Islamic movements. Also we are rooting for Kemi Badenoch not because she is a Nigerian but because of her disdain towards Nigeria corrupt govt. But issue is, she is a yoruba, she can do U-turn.
“Fuel Importers Were Losing Their Market To Dangote, Then Eventually They Found a Loophole…Dangote Sells Fuel Cheaper To Foreign Traders Than To Nigerian Marketers, So They Go To Togo, Buy The Same Dangote Fuel, And Ship It Back To Nigeria. And Even After Shipping Costs, It’s Still N65 Cheaper Per Litre. Between March-May 2026, 70-80% Of Fuel Imported By Sea Was Dangote Fuel That Left Nigeria And Came Back. But Why Is Nigerian Fuel Cheaper To Buy From Togo?”.
When I was the chairman of Fidelity Bank, I was living in Festac. I was the only Chairman of the bank who wasn't living on the Island.
They told me that my life was affecting the corporate image of the bank and I asked them a simple question; has any customer asked you where your chairman was living? So I told them it was all about their imaginations!

Full Video: “He Was One Of Those Who Helped Me Serve Faithfully In Anambra State.” ~ Mr Peter Obi Speaking At The 85th Birthday Celebration Of His Royal Majesty, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe (CFR), Obi Of Onitsha.
Beyond Competition: The Bromance Steering Nigerian Aviation to Greater Heights
The event was the unveiling of two newly acquired Boeing 737-800 Next Generation (NG) aircraft by United Nigeria Airlines. Yet, beyond the gleaming aircraft, the speeches, and the dignitaries who graced the occasion, another story captured the imagination of many in attendance: a story of friendship, collaboration, and shared visions.
It was the unmistakable camaraderie between two sons of Igboland: Professor Obiora Okonkwo, Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, and Chief Allen Onyema, Chairman of Air Peace. Once again, the duo became the centre of attention as their visible bromance demonstrated the can-do spirit, resilience, and entrepreneurial ingenuity for which the Igbo are renowned.
The two aircraft were named in honour of two distinguished Igbo icons: His Royal Majesty, Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe, the Obi of Onitsha, and the late world-renowned author, Professor Chinua Achebe. The symbolic gesture added cultural depth to an event that celebrated not only aviation growth but also Igbo excellence and achievement.
The ceremony attracted the crème de la crème of Nigeria’s aviation industry, captains of industry, financiers, government officials, traditional rulers, and many members of the Anambra First family who came to celebrate one of their own as he achieved yet another significant milestone.
Speaker after speaker extolled the virtues of Professor Okonkwo, praising his vision, determination, and commitment to building a world-class airline. However, it was Chief Allen Onyema’s speech that perhaps resonated most deeply with the audience, especially the many Igbo people present.
In an era where business success is often portrayed as a zero-sum game and competitors are expected to be adversaries, Onyema presented a refreshing narrative. He spoke glowingly about his relationship with Professor Okonkwo and made it abundantly clear that the two airline operators see themselves not as rivals but as partners working towards the common goal of building a stronger aviation industry.
“I congratulate my brother Obiora and United Nigeria Airlines for becoming the second-largest airline in West Africa,” Onyema declared to loud applause.
He went further to reveal the role he played in encouraging Okonkwo to seize the opportunity to acquire the next-generation Boeing aircraft when they became available. It was a candid admission that underscored the trust, mutual respect, and cooperation that exist between the two aviation entrepreneurs.
Rather than allowing competition to breed hostility, they have chosen collaboration. Rather than pulling each other down, they have elected to lift one another up. In doing so, they have created a powerful example of how businesses can thrive through synergy rather than rivalry.
The well-attended event was chaired by the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti. Also present were the Obi of Onitsha, representatives of the Chinua Achebe family, the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, CON, the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Captain Chris Ona Najomo, representatives of The Boeing Company, who is an Anambra son, as well as officials of the Bank of Industry (BOI) and Zenith Bank Plc, the financial institutions that supported the aircraft acquisition project.
Yet, beyond the distinguished guests and impressive aircraft, the enduring image many left with was that of two successful entrepreneurs standing shoulder to shoulder, celebrating each other’s achievements.
On 24th March, 2022, all the monarchs representing Anambra State 177 communities gathered at Government House Conference Hall in Awka. Not far from there, at the Local Government Conference Hall, the Presidents-General of the 177 communities also gathered. It was for a simple, singular and graceful purpose. Call it the anointing.
It was on that day that @PeterObi formally declared that he intended to run for the Nigerian Presidency. He planned to run hard and to win. It was not a personal mission: it was for the people. @PeterObi made a simple request: the prayers and blessings from the Royal Fathers and elected community leaders for the success of his mission. He got his wish in both instances.
The Anambra Traditional Rulers prayed for Obi and in keeping with customs did the traditional igòr òfo. The PGs did likewise, along with anointed men and women present. At both sessions the rulers and leaders conferred Grace and Resilience on @PeterObi. They then sent him forth. He has never looked back ever since.
According to Igbo mythology and custom, he who's father sends on the errand to collect a debt or covet some goods, kicks down the front door. And so, perhaps, it has been with PO's political story.
Many who were not privy of the blessings of 24th March, 2022 and the Graces and Resilence it might have conferred on PO, have wittingly or unwittinly gone after him to their own detriment. Every effort to block him crumbles soon enough. Some who are still trying to pull him down, might meet the same fate. The Grace of God transcends superstitions and the voice of the people, quite often; is the voice of God.
The Igbo word Odera connotes divinity's fait accompli. Perhaps, there is still some lessons for PO's kith and kin, and his other traducers, who dare to gang up against him either personally or via official fiats.
Just wondering out loud and sharing an insider's perspective.
Deregistration: Appeal Court Delivered A Ruling Urging Justice Lifu To Stay Off Proceedings On The Matter — Ikenga
Justice Lifu today created a WhatsApp forum, told lawyers to come to court like a military commander and urgently delivered a judgement for INEC to deregister political parties that INEC had approved under the electoral constitution. Every political party will be on the ballot, because that is what democracy is all about. Our nation cannot degenerate to such animalistic behaviour.

Member of the House of Representatives of Nigeria
One day, Peter Lifu sits as judge of @FederalHigh to order @inecnigeria to de-register @ADCNig.
The next day, he presumes to sit again as a judge to adjudicate over the leadership of a party he says does not exist?
It is not that he lacks the capacity to see that there is a problem. It is that it shd now be quite evident that Peter Lifu no longer has the capacity to function as a judge. He is a #LowBudget hatchet man wearing a full-bottomed wig.

It seems NDC as a Party is determined to correct the mistakes where Labour Party had earlier failed.
So, as at yesterday, NDC has made its intentions clear to take seriously the issue of anti-defection policies concerning party members who may win elections under the platform of the party and later choose to defect.
The party has mandated that all candidates for elective offices must sign indemnity and affidavit forms, committing themselves to vacate their seats if they defect from the party after winning the election.
As much as I welcome that position, at least as a way of keeping overly ambitious political actors in check, my only concern is the enforceability of such an agreement in court.
The big question is this:
Will NDC be able to go beyond what the Constitution provides on anti-defection laws to enforce such agreements when the time eventually comes?
Let's take, for example, a Governor who wins an election under NDC.
Can NDC properly enforce an agreement signed by such a Governor, knowing fully well that there are no Executive anti-defection laws in our Constitution?
Again, what happens in a situation where a legislator defects to another party and the Senate President or the Speaker of the House refuses to give effect to the provisions of the Constitution as clearly stipulated?
These are the real issues.
It is really a hard nut to crack because an overly ambitious politician is like a man who married a covetous wife;
No amount of scrutiny will ever prevent her from finding her way into covetousness.

Peter Obi: I won the last presidential election
Rufai: Where's your proof?
Peter Obi: Forget about the proof. Leave what INEC declared. One day, the story will be told.
