I have just learnt with sadness that the foreign investors of JITU, a Business Process Outsourcing operation that is based at Naivas Building in Nyeri is considering relocating to another country as a result of the mayhem yesterday. JITU is one of the BPO Operations that chose to expand in 'peaceful and politically stable' Nyeri following an initiative to incentivise Kenya as a BPO destination that @WilliamsRuto and I initiated when I was CS MITI in 2023. They employ 400 young Kenyans some earning up to Ksh 400,000 per month in AI, Robotics, Software Development and Customer Service mostly for US Companies. JITU has transformed the outlook of Nyeri town. The good news is that I have made arrangements for the 400 young people to be hired as gardeners at Wamunyoro once JITU relocates
