The idea that a ceasefire in Gaza after 11 days of death and destruction—thanks in large part to the US green lighting the Israeli offensive at every stage while actively blocking ceasefire attempts by the Security Council—is somehow a US diplomatic success is utterly delusional.
Shurayḥ al-Qāḍī (d. 80 AH) remarked, "Every oppressor shall have to reckon with the rights of those whom he oppressed. The oppressor has nothing to look forward to except Divine punishment. As for the one oppressed, he can look forward to Allah's help, and His reward."
The practice of fasting in Ramadan - abstaining from food, water, intimacy from sunrise to sunset - is an act of defiance, resilience, and self-control.
