FAO team with @MoLAH_Puntland and partners from @SwedeninSomalia visited project sites in Galkayo District to understand how the drought is impacting communities. Fodder production and livelihood diversification are rendering pastoral communities more resilient to climate shocks.
In Galkayo, I met with government ministries & community members to discuss the worsening drought and how FAO’s joint programme is helping communities through this harsh period.
#BetterProduction in the livestock sector is key for both emergency response & long‑term resilience.
