I can't believe how bad the service and the customer service of @talabateg has become. I should just quit using that service for good. There are new options that I shall just switch to like @MrsoolEgypt

For now though, I like what I'm seeing on #ThreadsApp. It's slick, clean and well-designed. I haven't had good, meaningful discussions there yet but I think that'll change over the next few days.

With the current state of Twitter, I think I'll stick with #Threads a bit longer.

Time to use Twitter to talk about how I'm testing out Meta's Threads, the company's alternative to Twitter.

So far my first impression has been rather positive, but more in the thread below.

When I opened #Threads, logging into the app was as simple as having Instagram on my phone. It was straightforward and I was inside the app in less than half a minute. It just asked me for a bio or to import by bio from Instagram. I wrote a new one.

I do have serious concerns about sharing even more of my data with @Meta besides everything they know about me from Facebook (though I'm hardly there now) and Instagram (which is the reels platform for older people like me)

I really like the interface on #Threads though. Everything is slick, clean and fast. The colors, the font - it all makes for a superior experience IMHO on mobile phones compared to Twitter.

I expect that, with time, I'd be able to create a nice feed on #Threads but right now I'm not getting the Twitter experience I'm used to out of it. But on the plus side, that also means I'm getting less exposure to vile and toxic content (which I'm sure won't last long)

Right now, my feed is...strange. I don't know how #Threads chose what to show me. It is fun - but not exactly relevant to me in any way. I think the problem may be that I have a very different persona on Instagram compared to Twitter. I expect different things from each platform

It even asked me if I wanted to follow the same ppl I'm following on Instagram (only one person was actually on Threads though so he's the only one I'm actually following)

In a few hours it will probably be the first app that comes up when you search for Threads, but for now it is better to search for "Threads Instagram" to easily find the right app.

Organizations are doing more than every for the SDGs, but there is still much more to be done. We don't have the luxury to pat ourselves on the back for every SDG meeting we have in companies. We need more - more awareness, more action, more change.

I was really hoping to watch the new #SpiderVerse movie but because someone deemed a single shot of a poster in the film that supports #LGBTQ to be offensive the movie was banned in #Egypt. When does this madness end?
