Hot off the press. This paper in Physics of Fluids by my former PhD student and current PDF @ontariotech_u investigates how acoustic resonance is excited in tube arrays with different compactness.
Thanks Rasha for your hard work.

Today we say goodbye to Haeyoon Kim, our Mitacs intern, who spent 12 weeks in my lab @ontariotech_u working on energy harvesting from flow-induced vibration. Thank you, Haeyoon, for your great work, and thanks to Rasha for the treats!
Thanks also to @MitacsCanada for the funding!
I had a great time visiting Penn State University and delivering a lecture on flow-excited acoustic resonance in industry. I look forward to consolidating fruitful collaboration between @PENNSTATEU1 and @ontariotech_u.
I have an open position for a Master’s student to join my
research group @MohanyLab. I am looking for an enthusiastic candidate to work on a project in the area of experimental aeroacoustics. The minimum GPA is 3.7 with a solid background in Fluid Mechanics.
Save the date! The 7th Symposium on Fluid-Structure-Sound Interactions and Control (https://t.co/8GhwVWvSsL) will be held next year from July 27 to 31, 2025 at @ontariotech_u. This prestigious symposium will be hosted for the first time in Canada.

Hot off the press! Our latest publication in the Journal of Fluid Mechanics, the top journal in the field. This research is part of the MASc thesis of my former student Ahmed Shoukry. Thanks Ahmed and thanks @ontariotech_u & @NSERC_CRSNG for your support!https://t.co/iuEYOrunN0
I have amazing students! A surprise birthday celebration during our @MohanyLab weekly group meeting. Thank you Rasha and everyone for the amazing surprise 🙏 You made my day!

It was a pleasure to welcome Jeffrey Bradfute from @westinghouse Americas to the Fluid-Structure Interactions Lab @ontariotech_u. We provided an overview of our recent research & had a productive discussion about nuclear fuel bundles, focusing on their sustainability & safety.
Check out our recent paper from the @MohanyLab on the spinning dynamics of self-excited azimuthal #acoustic modes in cavities. This is an issue in combustors and pipelines that could lead to their #failure. The paper is published in Physics of Fluids.

We are pleased to announce the 2024 recipients of the FEAS Faculty Research and Yuelei (James) Yang Engineering Teaching Awards.
Please join us in congratulating Dr. El-Sayegh, Dr. Mohany, and Dr. MacDonald on their awards!
Please join us for the 2nd annual #ResearchDay on February 20, 2024! Experts from industry and academia will come together to discuss pathways to net-zero emissions and the role of smart, sustainable development in achieving that.

Congratulations to our very own Ali Saudy from @OT_FEAS at @ontariotech_u for the successful defense of his Master's thesis. Well done Ali 👏👏
Ali was supervised by Prof. Mohany @DrAtefMohany and co-supervised by Prof. Hassan @MarwanHassan0 from the University of Guelph @uofg.
I am honored to be a recipient of the University Excellence Research Chair. Thanks @ontariotech_u and thanks to all of my students (current and previous) @MohanyLab and @OT_FEAS who made this possible!
Congratulations to all 👏👏🎉
