It was on this day last year that J&K CM @OmarAbdullah, during a sit-in led by Srinagar MP @RuhullahMehdi, looked us in the eye and assured us that the reservation framework would be rationalised within six months.

In the year since, the government has filled hundreds of posts and allotted thousands of seats in educational institutions under the very same framework, one that effectively excludes unreserved candidates from competing for 70% of those opportunities.

Over the past year, the youth of J&K have not gained a single relief. They have only lost opportunities, receiving nothing in return but hollow assurances.
