@WokeInoculum@TheJFreakinC It notifies people they are in the area. If they were doing their job properly, it wouldn't even be a thing. Proper paperwork with warrants and targeting criminals would be supported by all. What they are doing now violates our 4th amendment rights.
@kijxycay@undergroundlair@MaxtheCrowhouse@LangmanVince Should be using a bodycam and not a cell phone. Also, policy would have been to not place himself directly in front of the vehicle. There have been previous CBP investigations of border patrol agents who have done this to justify excessive force.
@undergroundlair he was still able to get out of the way. I will say the first shot could be argued about... but the 2nd and 3rd were unnecessary as he was completely out of harms way. At that point, it was a fleeing vehicle which does not justify lethal force.
@WokeInoculum@TheJFreakinC In the US, we have the right to protest against the government. Blowing a whistle does not prevent them from doing their jobs.
@TomDimpletree@TheJFreakinC in the US, as a citizen you are not required to carry or show identification to law enforcement unless suspected of a crime. Unfortunately, SCOTUS has allowed racial profiling to be used as suspicion.
@RepFine@realDonaldTrump between us and Russia? Hey dumbshit, Russia is 55 miles off the coast of Alaska... You really think Greenland would offer a buffer?
@undergroundlair@MaxtheCrowhouse@LangmanVince he purposely placed himself in front of the vehicle placing himself in a dangerous position. This is against policy of most law enforcement agencies and negates any justification for lethal force. Also, lethal force is justified if he can't get out of the way, which he did.
@mcfarland24913@Mononoke__Hime@EricLDaugh Law only allows lethal force if the officer cannot otherwise avoid being hit. The killing shots were taken after the agent had moved to the side and was no longer in danger of being hit. The agent also moved in front of the car to block her movement, against policy.
@JDVance So, the head of the executive branch will have control of the money from the sale of the Venezuelan oil.... isn't the legislative branch the one that controls the purse?
@coatedan@TheGreenDevil20@AmericaPapaBear Do you feel the same about people who fly the MAGA or Trump flags? Especially when they fly it at the same height or higher than the US flag?
@AmericaPapaBear I would complain more about the people who fly the MAGA and Trump flags on their trucks and homes side by side or above the US flag. That house also had a US flag that was higher than the Irish flag.
@TedNugent People who receive snap and ebt benefits still use money provided by the states and federal governments. That money goes to the stores just like anyone else who pays for groceries. Private business are affected more when benefits are taken away.
@tphstables @LovesHamachi @ABC I disagree a bit. Yes, energy usage is higher in extreme heat or cold. However, mine will run the AC or heat for at least 24 hours assuming I charged at home the night before. Sure, if you start at 22% state of charge, you would probably have issues.
