Lightning struck a transformer in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, on August 11, causing an explosion, downed power lines, and outages, police said.

Dashcam footage released by the Mount Pleasant Police Department shows the strike and lines blowing on both sides of the road. No injuries were reported, and Dominion Energy restored power shortly after and removed the downed wires.
