The law society should consider getting a permit for a large public gathering where all of us ordinary citizens with the same sentiments about the state of our justice system can attend solidarity.
You may want to read the @LawSocietyBW notice below if #goodgovernance interests you.
Either way, not good at all for π§πΌ citizens and a terrible indictment on those in @BWGovernment administration responsible for the integrity of the judiciaryπ’The independence and therefore integrity of this arm of government is ONLY possible if the principle of the Separation of Powers remains sacrosanct.
In this public notice, however, 90% of the members of the Society are essentially saying that the firewall of separation of powers has been compromised and by default Botswana's #ruleoflaw and frameworks for governance are potential in jeopardy.
If their assessment is right, the country's democracy is in a perilous state. Not a small matter I would thinkπ€π’ποΈπ²π

@goofsonty A lot of untruths on this tweet.
Base belongs to US
- President of BW not allowed
- Americans enter without passports
Hawu, madoda!
- All you need to enter is your identity document and a resident who invited you. Anyone can
- Every1 entering bw goes through immigration
@LuthandoFuze Simply put, they are not getting it at one because of the expectations gap. Women start coming to the party a little later on this matter
@LuthandoFuze At this age the guys are at their peak as far as libido is concerned, they want it often, even daily. At home their wives still have a perception that it must be rationed, that their husband must do 3,5,7 and then 1,2,4,6 for them to have. Because of this gap, men go hunting.
The 3 professors, one doctor and lawyers on that presidential commission would have never made such recommendations.
Tse ke tsa the office of the President hela. Got wrong people in there.
I wonder what this report is published to achieve. Shape the opinion of Batswana to align with what "the commissioners" (Masisi) wants may be?
I mean, why go ask Batswana what they want and the come write recommendations to the effect that advise against it?
@ukabodes@OfficialMasisi When a man in his position has on many occasions told the nation untruths repeatedly, you can't really fault one for not believing him. Besides the taskforce is made up of professionals they would not want to soil their credentials so I am enclined to their statistics.
@ukabodes@OfficialMasisi You get my point. We can't work on assumptions. And it does not help that we have a taskforce under the presidency reporting numbers that are divergent to what the presidency itself reports. It screams problem and in this case an explanation does not suffice. Its unacceptable.
@ukabodes@OfficialMasisi Thats hypothetical sir. Let's talk facts on the ground. This week a number of centres outside Maun were still administering J&J even in Mahalapye. So it's not a therefore, that's why I am saying let's report true statistics.
@ukabodes@OfficialMasisi Bring all the stats, let's see the full vax too. The who stats on 2nd Dec are at -40k of what was reported on 1st Dec locally still.
@ukabodes Professor Mosepele's numbers are per the reporting standards prescribed by WHO and so those are the numbers to report. Anything else is done to deceive. There is no justication under the sun for parallel reporting. Let's not deceive ourselves or our countrymen
