@SuburbanDuchess There are no kids. I think the BRF is too locked into the “never complain, never explain” mantra to do a public “j’accuse!”, and I imagine that they’re hoping that something big shakes out before they remove them from the LoS (which they should). Plausible deniability.

@jhealz006 @UpdatingOnRome Clavell didn’t call it the Asian Saga for nothing - maybe they could remake Tai-Pan (great cast, terrible movie) and/or Noble House (terrible miniseries, despite Pierce Brosnan). I’d love to see this Shogun, but regretfully I don’t have Hulu. It looks great.

The rest of us were pretty well split between English Lit and History. Like you, though, she had the heart of a Liberal Arts major and became a superb academic librarian.

@orangeregg @annbauerwriter @Storyaliz I used to get the newsletter from our state university’s library school (I’m an alumna). The last issues were all about how faculty, students, & alumni were contributing to various left-of-center programs. Not a word about providing information to their communities.
