@ChrisMaierBC@TheLPPod@PodHeadRod Thanks! On a related note...Deafheaven released a new album last week and it's solid. If you feel like testing those black metal legs...it's a pretty good "shallow end of the pool" https://t.co/2SrH9gz79n
@ChrisMaierBC@TheLPPod I really thought that was going to be the way I got Rod to love Wait. But, alas. At least I discovered a love of Blind Willie Johnson in the process #GravelGods
@kmaemaier@TheLPPod@HWYWHoney A) As one rambler to another...I meant it in the best possible way.
B) Forever Young has been my mom's song to me since I was 12.
C) "Interesting" is an interesting word choice. Strategically non-committal. [Interrogation Face] What did you REALLY think?
A New and "Emotional Rollercoaster" (@AgentPalmer's Description) Mix Tape Edition is out... #9 with James Hiebert @ChrisMaierBC's old friend and singer of Chris' very last band! #podernfamily

@cjmilroy @TheLPPod@lucydacus Thanks RDC! It was tough filtering this episode playlist down to the hour goal. So much good music swirling around this corner of the music world. I saw your song suggestions...will respond on my next episode.
@kmaemaier@TheLPPod Thanks, Kristen...that means a lot.
Just gave Featherstone a listen, quite lovely (my wife is currently adding it to her yoga playlist). The Be Goods almost made the list, went with Jolie Holland solo instead. But absolutely.

@HWYWHoney If you dig Portugal, the Man but are sick to death of the one and only song on the radio..their back catalog is well worth your time.

@olinernotes#Formats ...What WILL begin to affect future listeners the way format affected us is algorithms & discovery methods. Now that the available music is effectively infinite, what app, what web community, what Spotify feature, etc will continue to mark the passing phases
...and future generations will not understand the way we fetishized physical copies of music & will believe their love/understanding of the art more pure, unfettered as it is by our misplaced fascination with delivery method. And thus will go Thanksgiving arguments in 2038
@olinernotes#Formats What's Next: I agree completely that format changes will not matter anymore. We've outsourced the storage. While the format that the servers use may change, it will have no effect of the music listener since we are no longer the keepers of the format. But...
@olinernotes@AgentPalmer You mentioned that, but you also said that you basically stream the music you fell in love with on other formats. I may be the odd one out here...but that is NOT how I stream. I have attached my ears to the firehose of new music. I'm mainlining that shit!
@olinernotes#Formats Streaming. I have to disagree with you guys on this point. No format has had a more drastic affect on my listening and what reaches my ears than steaming. I couldn't discover half the music I do with out the endless fountain of music that is Spotify.
This week, our musical brethren over at @olinernotes conclude their discussion of musical formats and how they effected our lives https://t.co/7iCyu7J2hL
