My arm hurts, but I am so grateful to get my first dose of #COVID19 vaccine with @LiebermanNicole. No idea how I coulda made it through the pandemic without this awesome person. It's darkest before the dawn, but the morning will break soon.
@LiebermanNicole@uwlabmedpath@GreningerLab Thanks, Nicole. It's amazing to work with an incredible community of folks dedicated to syphilis.
And that very much includes you. I am so grateful for your scientific and personal support. Especially the scientific support: it's a great collaboration. 😃
Best wishes and great thanks to Mark Chandler, who retired from the UW Dept of Microbiology on Wednesday. I’m forever grateful for Mark’s partnership in the UW MICRO460 Parasitology course. Thanks for all you’ve done for UW students over the years!
Interested in Leishmania genomics and POC assay development? I’m looking for an RS3 or RS2 with a molecular biology/NGS background; bioinformatics experience a plus. Apply via UW Hires

@MisfitTorah So I'm way late to the party here, but this was a great podcast. And FWIW I think you handled the non-linear dynamics/chaos theory discussion quite wel!
Interested in leishmaniasis and its epidemiology in the US? @uwlabmedpath did most of the Leish testing in the US from 9/21 - 7/22. Come chat with me about what we found at @ASTMH#TropMed22! Poster session A, LB-5103. Monday, 10/31.
Before a billionaire schmuck turns twitter into a hate-filled hellhole, I want to thank the incredible staff of the @uwlabmedpath#MolMicro lab for their work this past year. We've brought on really exciting new tests! More than in any other year!
In addition to significantly expanding our clinical NGS offerings (bacterial whole genome ID, amplicon NGS for mixed fungal infections), we now have assays for M. chimaera, and my personal favorite a #syphilis#NAAT!
@AmeetRKini We keep getting "threats" of a massive aurora reaching all the way to Seattle, and keep coming up short. The couple times this year it was visible I 100% slept through it, and gratefully at that. But some of my staff posted amazing pics of green dancing lights over emerald city
