Isabelle Adjani in "One Deadly Summer" (1983) is the epitome of beauty & acting. She carries the movie from the start to the end effortlessly. It is impossible to take your eyes off her.

She rejected the role when it was first offered to her. Another actress was cast in her place, but her partner at that time, convinced her to take the role. I believe we are all forever indebted to him.

This performance is as good as or slightly better than her performance in "Possession" (1981). I can't see any other actress [I am sorry, Margaret Qualley!] performing either of the roles.

Another aspect that enhances Adjani's performance in "One Deadly Summer" (1983) is the costumes. Ever since I saw the movie, I have been meaning to make a video compilation of all the dresses worn by her in the film. Now, I found the time for it. I hope you enjoy the video.
