Oregon’s sanctuary BS is straight-up hurting us.

Federal immigration requests to our agencies exploded 246% — 329 hits in one year. Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas jails taking the brunt with detainers piling up.

But actual cooperation? Basically nothing. Sanctuary rules keep tying our hands while the problems stack up.

Bigger burdens on taxpayers, strained jails and systems, and communities paying the price for Portland’s failed experiments? Enough!

Scott Turner highlighted these findings, arguing that rising housing demand has made it even harder for many American families to find affordable housing.
Housing affordability is driven by many factors—including housing supply, construction costs, interest rates, local land-use policies, and population growth—but this report argues that rapid immigration also increased demand for rental housing during this period.

The takeaway is straightforward: when millions of additional people enter an already undersupplied housing market, competition for housing increases.

That's one reason many working families have faced higher rents and fewer affordable options.
