Cal has done an amazing job with its SoCal baseball recruits this season. Boone. Limerick. Smaldino. Kodama. Taque. Buckner.

[Suzanne Buckner @MomBuckner]

@latsondheimer @w_dollen14 The first base umpire called the batter out.

[eric sondheimer @latsondheimer]

This is the video of the play with two outs in the seventh. Home plate umpire reversed call at first. Mater Dei ended up tying game vs. Oaks Christian.

[Suzanne Buckner @MomBuckner]

@latsondheimer What kills me is the video also shows no way the runner at 2nd would have ever scored on an infield ground ball. Only cuz the ump called the batter out did he keep going. When’s the last time anyone saw a throw home to hold the runner at 3rd after the last out of the game?

Four Oak Christian pitchers combine for shutout of Gahr 3-0.
