your relationship with discipline changes so much when you shift doing things from shame to love. from ‘i have to clean’ to realizing i deserve to have a clean home. from ‘i need to work out’ to i deserve to have a healthy body. you deserve to have the best from yourself.
i hate how AI has become such an umbrella term that people can't tell the difference between the "kinds" of AI
When I say I don't support it, I mean generative AI like LLMs, not the object detection models like the one used for detecting brain tumors
@TheJakeneutron “Nobody cares if you use AI, they care about the results.” and usually the results are.. less than great.
Whenever I see AI used in adverts, I think “wow, this must be pretty cheap” and I wonder if that will become a mainstream opinion as time goes on.
People are too slavishly beholden to IP. This short being a weird abstract interpretation of Pac-Man is really cool. There should be more people encouraging adaptations that push the boundaries of what their based on but people just want the same thing regurgitated over and over.
99% of "leftist discourse" online is children under the age of 24 using vaguely lefist vocabulary to justify bullying each other about typical children concerns, like fashion, music taste, social etiquette, consumer preferences, etc. causing leftist language to lose it's meaning.
I think the 2010s will be remembered and characterized as when everything went full corporate. The internet was consolidated into a small handful of sites and all media became data driven to a never before realized level. This paved the way for the 2020s, the age of AI slop.
Its funny that for as much as nietzsche is brought up in the popular consciousness, his central point of 'your morality should be intentional and thought out rather than blindly inherited' is continuously mocked and derided
have you ever had a back surgery you weren't happy w/ so you intend to follow up w/ them but the hospital says they quit. then months later this viral video pops up on your partner's youtube feed algorithm and that's how you learn your surgeon quit to become a self-help youtuber
Depth is underrated. Most desks used to face the room.
Humans evolved in environments with expansive views, like open plains or forests. These natural settings provide depth, which is visually soothing and reduces stress.
Then the computer came along and we all face a wall and stare into a small 2D portal.
Causes neuroticism. Staring at a flat wall deprives us of a calming visual input.
