Story: I’ll never forget this moment.
A brown pit bull, soaked and shaking, wrapped his muddy paws around my leg like it was the only safe place left in the world.

It was during a flood rescue. The water had swallowed everything—streets, homes, even hope. And then, through the chaos, I saw him. Standing alone, chest-deep in the freezing water. His eyes met mine, and it felt like time stopped.

He didn’t bark. He didn’t growl. He just looked—a look that said, “Please… don’t leave me.”

I knelt down and reached out slowly. He hesitated for just a second… and then lunged forward, pressing himself against me, holding on like he’d finally found solid ground again. His body trembled against mine, cold and terrified—but there was trust there. A fragile, desperate kind of trust.

When we got him onto the rescue raft, he still wouldn’t let go. Even on dry land, his paw stayed glued to my leg, as if letting go might make everything disappear again. I whispered to him, “You’re safe now, buddy. You’re safe.”

No one came looking for him. Maybe he had a family once. Maybe he was abandoned. I’ll never know. But from that day on, he became part of mine.

I named him Diesel.
And Diesel never leaves my side. He sleeps by my bed, walks by my heel, and sometimes—just sometimes—he’ll rest his paw on my leg like he did that first day. Like he’s making sure I’m still there.

People say I rescued him. But if I’m honest… Diesel rescued me, too. ❤️🐶

Outraged students and parents just kicked Erika Kirk OUT of a high school campus, after backlash erupted over bringing in far-right extremist politics in public classrooms on the taxpayers' dime.
A Phoenix area high school just backed down from letting a cult run rampant in their school.
Pinnacle High School canceled an on campus appearance by Turning Point USA leader Erika Kirk after a surge of complaints from students and parents who refused to accept a political stunt during school hours.
Principal Jeremy Richards told families the event was being moved off campus and pushed until after the final bell, warning it could disrupt the school day and create serious issues.
Students spoke clearly:
- “I don’t know why she’s coming here, to be honest,” Francisco Sanchez, a senior at Pinnacle High School, told 12 News Phoenix before the event was moved. "It’s a little crazy because I would never have expected someone like her to show up at a high school. I think the topics that she talks about are too extremist for a school. I think there are better representatives we can have."
Damn right.
Parents raised concerns about division and security risks tied to her appearances. The event is now limited to a small club gathering with ZERO taxpayer funding or school endorsement.
Sorry Erika - this is what happens when communities push back and refuse to let schools become propaganda platforms for right wing influence.
