I was shocked when I learned that my Singaporean coworker, who never drove in her home country, was able to get her license and drive in Japan so easily.
As an American, even if we have our license, many of us have to go through the whole drivers exam process (written exam and practical exam) and it’s extremely strict. I have heard that here in Nagano, people often have to try up to 5-6 times to pass.
I really can’t understand how so many foreigners are getting their license with so much ease when it feels like such a frustrating process for others 😅
@KazTsuruoka It’s Korean, but if you haven’t seen the movie Minari I highly recommend it! 💗 it’s about a Korean family who moves to the countryside of Arkansas to start a farm. It’s a very touching story 🥹
@kaz_kazuhisa And I’m over here in Japan thinking about whether I should try to go home (which is so scary for me) or settle down here!!
Why do you prefer life in the US?
Long time no see, everyone ^^ Just thought I’d check in and see how things have been going.
At a bit of a crossroads right now. Not sure which path makes more sense
