@ninaksimon I know several grandmas who are called “Mimi” by their grandkids. Not sure about the origins but it sounds like a special name without sounding old or cute
@MadMaddy80 I’ve noticed taking my mother to med appts that she is often called Miss Anne instead of Mrs. Gorham - don’t know if it’s a “your file doesn’t say married” thing or a millennial thing
@MadMaddy80 it depends on the context. At connor’s university it is a totally normal question everyone asks everyone, which connor as a non-binary person appreciates. In a new doctor’s office it would be a good question to ask. However, in the grocery store it would be totally offensive
@orneryscientist As the daughter of a recent patient who had one of these in the hospital room to monitor falls after a concussion, I can tell you it caused all of us nightmares afterward. It’s like waking up to a Dalek shouting Exterminate.
@readingvan @2022MMMletsgo @Mammals_Suck Some of the battles I remember as “others” were where the animal is defeated by the environment (eg freezing or drowning) or by a lingering injury or weakness from a prior round.
