Moms β what's the ONE postpartum symptom you were told to "just live with" that bothers you most? Bladder leaks Back or pelvic pain Feeling disconnected from your body π Can't exercise the way I used to (I'm asking because the answer might surprise you .
You're cleared at 6 weeks!" Cool. Cleared of what exactly? Not whether your pelvic floor is ready for running. Not whether your core is reconnected. Not whether it's safe to lift. The 6-week check is a wound check. That's it. Your body needs more than 6 weeks.
If any of these resonated β save this thread. Your body is telling you something. The good news: none of these are permanent. Follow me for more honest postpartum health content. I post here every day. πΏ
4/ You avoid exercise because movement is uncomfortable or you're afraid of making things worse. 5/ You have a visible gap or "doming" when you try to sit up from lying down β that's diastasis recti, affecting up to 60% of pregnancies. Both: addressable. Both: not your fault.
3/ You feel a heaviness or pressure in your pelvis, especially at end of day. This can be a sign of pelvic organ prolapse β which sounds scary but is very common and very manageable with the right guidance. Please don't ignore this one.

Leaking when you sneeze, laugh, or run after having a baby is NOT normal. It's common. There's a big difference. It's a sign your pelvic floor needs support β and it's completely fixable at any age. You were lied to when they called it "just part of being a mom.πΏ
