So this is the second time my prosthetics broken this year while waiting for NDIS to approve funding for a new one. Image is of the tear in the socket from January this year
I was mid stride when the lock that holds the prosthetic to my leg failed. My prosthetic came off and I then fell landing on my amputated leg, infront of a school i was about to present to.
The impact to the cement was not the impact I had hoped to leave students with.
Brisbane airport. I explain my luggage is 24kg due to the 2 prosthetic legs I have packed Normally this all I need to say and the extra weight is excused. Tonight flying to Adelaide, the staff had me open my bag to prove it.
Who knew fake legs were such a popular excuse! ๐ฆฟ๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ
Last minute call up- but I'm always more than happy to contribute to the Menstrual Health discussion. One day the diagnosis for endometriosis will be less than the current 7-10year average
WISC22: To round off our "Breast health, pregnancy & return to sport" theme, we hear from two olympians @JanaPittman and @alycewood_ on their experiences returning to sport after pregnancy.
Powerful and differing perspectives, thank you both๐ช

@SallyCDillon@speedo Australian Para Swimmer. It was great to see NZ Swimmer Sophie Pascoe sponsored. I will note Tommy Gallagher is now listed on the Team Speedo Page, although it says the para swimmer is aiming for the "Olympics" we are not Olympians. Room for improvement.
Thank you to the Governor of Queensland, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young PSM, and Professor Graeme
Nimmo RFDโ for hosting a reception in support of @minerva_network at Government House.
The Governor and Professor Nimmo tonight hosted a reception in support of the Minerva Network, which supports women in the business of sport, through networking, mentoring and development @minerva_network
No faster way for me to question a medical professional than have them ask if I can walk to the bed.
I've just had a knee reconstruction and ankle surgery on one leg, and don't even have a second. Answers no.

Daniel Radcliffe's performance of 'she'll be coming round the mountian' in S3 of Miracle Workers had to be the greatest thing I've ever watched. What a talent
