Our patients and #MSETeam are gearing up for our very own Hospital #Olympics. Patients from eleven wards are taking part in events like adaptive cycling and pool-noodle javelin - it's all about having fun and promoting wellbeing.
We're cheering them on as they go for gold! 🏅
Patients on Ingham ward who are experiencing communication difficulties following a stroke or brain injury are enjoying singing sessions to aid their recovery.
The sessions are open to anyone on the ward and are led by the Neurosciences Speech & Language Therapy team.
And beginning the co-creation of plans for taking the telerehab work into clinical practice to support recovery for people after stroke focusing on improved outcomes and experience #ICSS@NicolaJHancock@RebeccaJFisher_@Deborah71247971

Well done to Prof Hugh Markus, who received a #WSC2023 award for Contributions to Clinical Stroke Research! 🏅
Since 2010, we've funded Hugh's efforts to investigate the treatment and management of Small Vessel Disease, which is responsible for 20% of ischaemic strokes.
Delighted that all acute stroke centres across the EoE are now live with AI to support referrals to MT centres. Thank you to all involved, in particular @MonaghanPatel@EoEISDNs for all the hard work and commitment to this project. @paul_guyler@Deborah71247971 @DarrienNHS
Patients and clinicians at #Addenbrookes have helped develop a new tool to reduce stroke risk.
It's an easy tool for doctors to use in practice, which they hope will help diagnose and treat more patients reducing their risk of future strokes.
