This is an update on how far we have come. Njeri is still with us at our Safehouse.

Ssshe graduated from using a wheelchair to a walker and finally to walking unassisted. In fact she contributes to the care of the Safehouse. She cleans the table after every meal.

She's cheerful , loves people and company,and enjoys her food, she can communicate through grunts and gestures. She's moved from diapers to the commode. She even sleeps through the night without the aid of melatonin which she needed for the first two months after her ordeal of being locked away for 10 years

We don't know what the future is for Njeri but for now she's safe, well taken care off and happy.
