Monarch Services had a busy weekend! Program Manager Esmeralda T. sat on a panel with USC to speak on domestic violence on Friday. Program Director Maria, Housing Manager Alma, and Case Manager Sandra attended the March to End Homelessness hosted by Housing Matters on Saturday.
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month! 2023’s campaign is “Drawing Connections: Prevention Demands Equity.” This April, Monarch Services encourages everyone to learn how to “draw connections” between forms of oppression and the causes of sexual assault.

Our final highlight for Women’s History Month is Laura Segura. Laura became Monarch’s Executive Director in 2006. During her time at Monarch, Laura championed equity and fearlessly challenged traditional ideas about justice for survivors of sexual and domestic violence.
